Grandpa Gus’s Tick Repellent Spray is powered by plant-based essential oils. The main workhorses are Geraniol and Lemongrass Oil that work together for the most effective performance. These carefully balanced essential oils target the ticks' olfactory systems to repel them.

How do I use this product?

SHAKE WELL before using. Hold bottle 4 to 6 inches away and spray with a slow sweeping motion, then gently rub it into your skin. Use enough product to cover exposed skin (and clothing, if desired). Reapply after 6 hours or if washed off. Do not spray directly on or near face. Do not allow children to handle this product. For your face and children, apply product directly to your own hands and apply on your face or child, being careful to avoid eyes, mouth, and child’s hands. Avoid applying on cuts, wounds or irritated skin.

What are the active ingredients?

Grandpa Gus's Repellents use plant-based active ingredients. They are the essential oils Geraniol and Lemongrass Oil. We also include Peppermint Oil to keep bees away. The other active ingredient is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is sourced from Coconuts. It helps the other active ingredients do their job well.

What bugs does your product work on?

The Tick Repellent repels Ticks for up to 8 hours. It also repels mosquitoes for up to 6 hours.

Where can I use the product?

Grandpa Gus's Tick Repellent can be used on your body, including your face. Do not spray the product directly on your face. Spray it into your hand and use your and to apply to the face. It is safe to use on children when the product is applied by an adult. The Tick Repellent is safe to spray on your clothes as well. Spray the bottoms of your pant legs and sleeves where ticks might enter. Please do not use the product on your pets.

Is this product safe to use on kids?

Yes, Grandpa Gus's Tick Repellent is safe to use on children when used as directed. Do not allow the children to apply product to themselves. An adult should spray and rub the product in to the child's skin. For the face, spray the product into the adult have and them apply to the child's face with the hand.

Is this product safe to use on pets or plants?

No, this product has not been tested for use on pets of any kind. We do not recommend spraying the repellent on plants.

Can I use this product on my face?

Do not spray the product directly on your face. Spray it into your hand and use your hand to apply to the face.
